What is the rEVOLUTION?

The rEVOLUTION is a new, revolutionary mechanism that we are introducing to the original PD collection to allow for evolving and enhancing the tokens in an non-inflationary, gas-free way. The drop will enable holders to add an additional, completely new design to their NFTs alongside the original design.

When is the drop going live?

The drop will start on April 15th and the window to claim the new design will be open for 2 weeks.

What happens to those NFTs that don’t claim a new design during this two-week window?

At the end of the claiming window, one of the three designs will be assigned automatically to all NFTs that haven't already been paired with a new design. This way, each PD NFT will have its own "dress-up.”

How can I claim my new version of the PD?

Go to app.partydegens.io and connect your wallets. Then, for every PD NFT that you own, you will select which of the new three designs to pair each of your NFTs with. Voila!

Do I have to pay a fee or gas to claim my extra design?

No, the new designs are an add-on and are free of charge. Also, because we are using dual metadata, choosing or switching between designs does not require paying for gas either.

What is dual metadata?

Dual metadata is a component of the rEVOLUTION mechanism that allows users to store and seamlessly switch between multiple designs attached to the same NFT.

Am I getting a new and separate NFT? Will there be a new smart contract?

No, the new designs will be an integral part of your existing NFT and of the Party Degens collection. The total count will remain at 10.000 NFTs, and there won't be a new smart contract.

Can I change my mind and switch the design?

You will be able to switch back and forth between the original PD and the new design you've chosen. However, once you have paired your PD with one of the new designs, then this decision becomes irreversible. That specific ID will be paired with your chosen design forever, thus leaving a permanent mark on the Party Degens collection.

So, for instance, if you choose to pair your original PD with the Woodstock 3.0 design, then you cannot change that NFT to The Night League design. That NFT will remain paired with the Woodstock 3.0 design.

Will OpenSea display the original or the new design?

Opensea will display whichever design you select as active. You will have control over this through the https://partydegens.io/claim-design website.

Will the new designs keep the same traits and utility?

The traits of the new designs will have different names and no specific extra utility. However, the traits and utility of your original PD will still be valid, regardless of which design you choose to display.

When can I start switching between the original design and the new one?

The #rEVOLUTION phase will last for two weeks. After the two weeks, you will be able to switch back and forth between the two designs whenever you desire by going to https://partydegens.io/claim-design. Before the end of the two weeks, the NFT’s default display will be the new design and there will temporarily be no option to switch to the original design.

How can I tell if the holder has already claimed a new design for a given NFT?

During the first two weeks of the #rEVOLUTION phase, the NFT will be updated to reflect the new design once the owner has claimed a new design for the original PD. The NFT will also display the new design in OpenSea. If you want to buy a NFT that has not yet been paired with a new design, then you can look for one that still has the OG design on OpenSea.
